Foot positional training.
DB Development
Feet first. Press, break, finish. The details that hold when the game speeds up.
Zay coaches defensive backs the way he played: the feet tell the truth before the ball is thrown. If the stance is a lie, coverage is decoration.

Press man to man
Best press man-to-man corner.
Who it’s for
Corners and safeties — high school through college — who want the quiet details to hold on Saturdays, not just look busy in a drill.
A session
- One job for the block — a feel you’re trying to own
- Stance, press, break, finish
- Film after, so you and a parent can see the jump
You leave with
Cleaner feet at the snap, and tape of the work so the jump is visible.

What we train
- Stance and alignment
- Press, the break, the finish with the hands
- Eyes, hips, hands — in that order, under fatigue
The lab
- Foot positional training is the job
- Technique when you’re tired, not only when you’re fresh
- Film after the block — parents can see it too
Is this only for corners?
Corners and safeties. Anyone whose feet have to tell the truth at the snap. The details travel if the athlete will do the unglamorous work.
What makes this different?
Zay played it. FAMU #14. Every drill has a reason. If the feet aren’t honest, the rest is looking busy. We film the block so you can see whether it transferred.
What does a session look like?
One job. We don’t run a circus of ten drills. Stance, press, break, or finish — then we do it until the feel is real. Film at the end.
Parents — how does this work?
Under 18 is parent-first. Free evaluation, a clear plan, film so you can see the jump. You’re in the loop. Nothing is a mystery invoice.
How do I start?
Let’s Work. Free evaluation with Zay. No payment on the first form.
